Details on Sony's new NGP are revealed. (updated)

The Next Generation Portable as they call it, is the latest in Sony's brand of handhelds. The NGP features dual analog sticks, multi-touch pad, gps, five inch OLCD screen, 3g, and a powerful Cortex A9 quad core processor. The NGP is looking to be a powerful handheld as it sets to release later this holiday season.

  1. What's the rear multi-touch for? Seems like a weird place to put a touch pad.

  2. Yeah, I don't know. I think its used like extra buttons. For example a FPS game you could just wipe the pad to quickly reload, without lifting your thumb.
